Adoption/Maternity Photo Shoot

Many of you have made comments about our pictures.  During many hours of surfing Pinterest (I'm EXTREMELY talented in the area of wasting time and Pinterest has really helped to improve my time-wasting skills!),  I saw lots of cute adoption-type "maternity" pictures.  I thought it would be a lot of fun to do some adoption/maternity photos of our own and asked Lindsey Boler at Red Elephant Studio if she would help us out.

I honestly thought that Tyler would never go for it... but HE DID!!  Those of you that know my husband very well, know that he would rather have a root canal than have his pictures made.  LOL!  While I'm quite the extrovert, he is quite the opposite.  He is shy and does not love the spotlight.  (Hmmm... Maybe that's one of the reasons I love him so much... He doesn't try to steal my spotlight... SO JK!!) He was actually a pretty good sport, though, and I was very proud of him!

This picture is a good indicator of our personalities!  LOL!
Anyway, here are the other pictures from our Adoption/Maternity Photo Shoot.  We had a lot of fun doing it!  Well, Lindsey and I did anyway (and Tyler is still alive)!  LOL!  We just thought it would be a fun way to share our adoption news with you!  I hope you enjoy!  :0)

The scripture in the frame is 1 Samuel 1:27 "For this child, we prayed."

We have BIG NEWS to share!!

Five years ago today, I married my very best friend!  It was, without a doubt, THE PERFECT wedding day!  I know it sounds a bit cliche', but it really was my perfect fairy tale wedding and the VERY BEST day of my life!  I cannot believe that we have already been married for five years!  I find it only appropriate that we share news with the world today that will bless our lives just like we were blessed five years ago.  We are SO EXCITED to finally share with the world that...

We are still in the very beginning stages of our adoption journey, but we are in the process of adopting a baby from Taiwan! After much prayer, we really feel that God has led us to adopt, and this is how He desires for us to grow our family.

Matthew 18:5 has been an ever present reminder since making this decision. “And anyone who welcomes a little child like this on my behalf is welcoming me.”

This is already proving to be the most amazing experience of our lives and I will be sharing more details with you through this blog as time goes on, but right now we just wanted to share our exciting news and ask for you to keep our growing family in your prayers!

God Bless!
Love,
Leslie and Tyler

We'd like to thank Lindsey Boler at Red Elephant Studio for doing these fun, maternity/adoption photos for us!  She helped us share our news with you in a fun way!  Thank you, Lindsey!  :0)
